TFC Walsall is proud to support the efforts of Mike Phillpott and his two childhood pals in their efforts to raise £2,000 plus for The Laura Centre in Leicester who offer specialist bereavement counselling to parents whose child has died and to children or young people who have been bereaved of a parent or significant person.

Mike will be setting out in late September and attempting more than 2,000 miles across Europe in five days driving a 15-year old Mazda 626 which cost £350 as part of the Screwball Rally. The car has been named Arnold after the previous registered owner, an ex-army transport regiment driver, spent a lot of time driving in mainland Europe during WW2.

To promote the trip Mike is planning to take Arnold to various community events in the coming weeks. Mike said My niece Maggie was tragically still-born in 2013. There were various avenues of support offered to my brother-in-law and his wife but one they benefited most from was The Laura Centre based in Leicester which continues to be a great support

You can find out more about the event via facebook here. To sponsor Mike™s trip, donations can be made here! Get more information about the event from the Screwball Rally website.
